SEIU Local 11 is Florida’s service workers’ union. We are janitors, security officers, landscapers, and condo workers—and we work hard to keep our community safe and beautiful. Together, we’re turning dead-end jobs without health care into good jobs that support our families and our economy.
Since our historic victory at the University of Miami that raised janitors’ pay by 30 percent and won health care for workers—many for the first time in their lives—we’ve continued our commitment to lift hard-working South Florida families out of poverty.
SEIU Local 11 was created in 2004 to unite more workers in order to create good jobs that pay decent wages and provide health benefits to strengthen South Florida communities. Currently, SEIU Local 11 represents service workers at:
* University of Miami * Fisher Island * Sodexo Laundry at Jackson Health Systems
* The Shops at Sunset Place
* International Mall
* Dadeland Mall
Workers are joining together to win a voice on the job, higher wages, job security, health insurance, and respect in the workplace at Nova Southeastern University, Fisher Island, and other landscaping and janitorial jobs across South Florida.
